Process for High School Student Enrollment
High school students currently enrolled as a junior or senior (or any sophomore enrolling in an on-campus class) should see their counselors or the R.O.P. liaison (if there is one) on their home high school campus. The counselor will complete a pre-enrollment form for the student and send it to 49er R.O.P. If the student does not have a counselor or R.O.P. liaison, he/she may call the R.O.P. office for a pre-enrollment form. The student or parent may fill out the pre-enrollment form and give a copy to his/her teacher, education specialist, or school personnel assigned to oversee his/her schedule. Students will receive confirmation (by mail or phone) of their enrollment.

  Process for Adult Student Enrollment
Adults can pre-enroll in May for the fall semester, and in December for the spring semester. Interested persons may call 530-889-5949 in Placer County and 530-265-8848 in Nevada County, for a class schedule and pre-enrollment form. Individuals may also come into the R.O.P. office and fill out a pre-enrollment form in person. The submission of a pre-enrollment form does not guarantee enrollment, but reserves your space at Adult Orientation. Class start dates and adult orientation dates are listed in the class schedule.

Fall 2009 Adult Schedule and Pre-enrollment

Orientation
Adults who pre-enroll for a class must attend an orientation session for that class. Each instructor holds his/her own orientation in the classroom where the class is held. The class schedule contains orientation dates, times and class locations.

Fees
There is a $75.00 adult registration fee per class per semester.
Some classes may also require additional student fees for consumable materials, equipment deposits, required vaccinations and insurance. These fees are listed on our website and will be discussed at an Adult Orientation Meeting or on the first day of class. These fees will be due on a fee payment schedule given to students by the course instructor.
Payments must be made though our online payment system. Instructors will give the students payment instructions (including a Course ID code) for accessing the online payment site where payments may be made with a credit card, debit card or through a PayPal account.

Other
Classes have limited space. There may be an assessment or interview required for entrance into a class. Early registration is encouraged. A few classes do not accept new students in the spring. Those classes are noted in the class schedule. Class times are subject to change. Class times and days listed on the class schedule are subject to flexibility. Generally, classes are held Monday through Friday. Hours during on-the-job training may vary.
